The Secret Music Night was a unique collaborative event between Sofar Taipei and TXRX Interactive Festival 2024, blending Sofar’s signature secret concert format with immersive projection technology. This special evening merged intimate live music performances with dynamic visual installations, creating a novel multi-sensory experience that expanded the boundaries of traditional concert presentations. The collaboration brought together Sofar’s curated musical talents and Luxmin’s expertise in projection mapping to create an unprecedented audiovisual experience.
We faced several significant challenges in executing this event. The primary challenge was the extremely compressed timeline, with only two weeks of preparation and a mere two-hour window for complete setup between the TXRX festival closure and the concert’s start. Without prior rehearsal opportunities or detailed knowledge of the performers’ content, we needed to create a cohesive audiovisual experience that would complement various musical styles. Additionally, we had to transform the exhibition space into a concert venue while maintaining the technical sophistication of our projection mapping installation.
